This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how JSimon Holdings LLC, a Florida limited liability company ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), operating under the trade name HiroResume, collects, uses, discloses, and protects your personal information when you access or use our website at hiroresume.com and all related services, applications, and tools (collectively, the "Services").

By accessing or using our Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to this Policy, you must not access or use our Services.

This Policy is designed to comply with applicable federal and state privacy laws, including but not limited to the CCPA/CPRA, VCDPA, CPA, CTDPA, UCPA, TDPSA, OCPA, MCDPA, Iowa, Indiana, Tennessee, Delaware, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Kentucky, Nebraska, Maryland, Minnesota consumer privacy statutes, and all other applicable state privacy statutes enacted or effective as of the date hereof.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide Directly

  • Contact Information: Your name, email address, and any other contact details you provide when creating an account, scoring a resume, or making a purchase.
  • Resume and Career Information: The content of resumes, cover letters, LinkedIn profiles, work history, education, skills, certifications, and other career-related information you upload, submit, or input into our Services.
  • Job Listing Information: Job descriptions, URLs, and related content you provide for tailored resume optimization.
  • Payment Information: Billing name, billing address, and payment method details. Credit card numbers and financial account information are processed directly by Stripe, Inc. and are never stored on our servers.
  • Communications: Any messages, feedback, support requests, or other communications you send to us.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device Information: Device type, operating system, browser type and version, screen resolution, and unique device identifiers.
  • Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, click patterns, time spent on pages, referring URLs, and interaction data.
  • Log Data: IP address, access times, server logs, and error reports.
  • Cookies and Similar Technologies: We use cookies, web beacons, pixels, and similar tracking technologies. See Section 8.

1.3 Information from Third Parties

  • Payment processors (transaction confirmation and fraud prevention data).
  • Analytics providers (aggregated usage and demographic data).

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Service Delivery: To process your resume, generate ATS scores, create optimized documents, and deliver purchased products via email.
  • AI Processing: To transmit your resume content and job listing information to our AI systems (including Anthropic Claude) solely to deliver our Services.
  • Payment Processing: To process transactions, prevent fraud, and manage billing through Stripe.
  • Communication: To send order confirmations, delivery emails, service updates, promotional offers (with your consent), and responses to inquiries.
  • Improvement: To analyze usage patterns, improve our Services, and enhance our AI models.
  • Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal process.
  • Security: To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security incidents, and technical issues.
  • Marketing: To send promotional communications, subject to your opt-out rights.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

  • Service Providers: Stripe (payments), Resend/SendGrid (email), Anthropic PBC (AI processing), DigitalOcean (hosting), Supabase (database), and analytics providers — contractually bound to use your data only to perform services for us.
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law, subpoena, court order, or to protect rights and safety.
  • Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets.
  • With Your Consent: When you explicitly authorize disclosure.

We do not share your resume content with employers, recruiters, or any third parties for recruitment unless you explicitly direct us to do so.

4. Data Retention

  • Account Data: Duration of your account plus 30 days after deletion request.
  • Resume Content and Generated Documents: 90 days after generation, then permanently deleted.
  • Payment Records: 7 years as required by tax and accounting laws.
  • Usage and Analytics Data: Up to 24 months in aggregated, de-identified form.
  • Marketing Preferences: Until you opt out or request deletion.

Request deletion at support@hiroresume.com. We will process within 30 days, subject to legal obligations.

5. Data Security

  • Encryption of data in transit using TLS/SSL.
  • Encryption of sensitive data at rest.
  • Access controls on a need-to-know basis.
  • Regular security assessments and vulnerability testing.
  • Secure server infrastructure with monitoring and intrusion detection.

No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. You use our Services at your own risk.

6. Your Rights Under State Privacy Laws

6.1 Rights Available to All Users

  • Right to Know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect.
  • Right to Delete your personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
  • Right to Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Right to Opt Out of Sale/Sharing — we do not sell or share for cross-context behavioral advertising.

  • Right to Data Portability in a readily usable format.

6.2 California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

  • Right to limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information.
  • Right to opt out of automated decision-making technology.
  • Right to know categories of personal information sold or shared in the preceding 12 months (we do not sell or share).
  • Right to designate an authorized agent by providing written authorization.

6.3 Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and Other State Residents

Residents of VA, CO, CT, UT, TX, OR, MT, IA, IN, TN, DE, NJ, NH, KY, NE, MD, MN, and other states with consumer data protection statutes are entitled to the rights in Section 6.1. Appeals: email support@hiroresume.com with subject "Privacy Rights Appeal." We respond within 60 days.

7. Children's Privacy

Our Services are not directed to individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe we have inadvertently done so, contact us at support@hiroresume.com.

8. Cookie Policy

  • Strictly Necessary Cookies: Required for operation, session management, and security.
  • Analytics Cookies: Google Analytics and similar tools collect aggregated usage data.
  • Functional Cookies: Remember your preferences and settings.
